We offer simple but high quality facilities

The barn has a well-equipped kitchen, a toilet/shower wetroom with full disabled access, and a dining area. The barn sleeps 2 upstairs in studio style accommodation. The downstairs dining room couch can be converted into a full-sized single bed to accommodate a disabled visitor.
The studio accommodation includes a comfortable sofa, two armchairs, a television with Freeview and DVD player. We have installed a wood-burning stove upstairs which also provides downstairs central heating and hot water, while additional hot water is supplied by a solar panel. A cot and highchair can be provided free of charge if required.

There is an adjacent secure under-cover garage/cycle store. This has facilities for washing down muddy boots and equipment, and also houses the washing machine. At the south end of the barn there is a secluded outdoor sitting area (below) which catches the sun at various time during the day depending on the time of year.

To the left of the table and chairs, there's a planter with an assortment of herbs, including chives and marjoram, for your use
We are keen gardeners and have created a number of raised beds around the courtyard and outdoor sitting areas. Although we are still planting these up, most beds already have changing colourful and fragrant displays of flowers throughout the year.

The barn enjoys good local amenities, including a very good local Co-op supermarket, two friendly pubs, and an excellent fish and chip shop. The Black Bull at the west end of the village is a real ale pub, with guest beers and a restaurant, while The Frosterley Inn at the east end of the village provides bar snacks. We are also close to the Weardale Railway and the village playground and playing field. All are within approximately 5 minutes walk.
There is off-road parking.
We are a non-smoking establishment.
