Harehope Quarry run an annual programme of community events, all involving working with or exploring the local environment. Fantastic for learning about and experiencing Weardale's unique landscape.
Dale Bike Hire will map out cycle tours to meet your specific needs and then deliver the bikes to your front door here at Cromer House Camping Barn.
Andrew Hall has a passion for woodturning and makes the most beautiful objects - including hats! - out of wood. He runs workshops for individuals and small groups, tailored to your needs.
The Weardale Outdoor centre runs a range of adventure training days - arranged on request - including orienteering, archery, clay pigeon shooting, quad biking, mountain biking, wildlife safari trips (recommended for spring), canoeing, and rock climbing. Weardale Ski Club runs a membership scheme and their website posts up to date information about the weather (complete with webcam). Check out their website where you'll find photos taken over the past couple of seasons and full information about how to find them and when you can ski.
We're also very conveniently located for Outdoor Adventure Activities, run by instructors Paul Robinson and Les Hewitt.
